Draft — pending legal review
This page is a plain-language draft and may change before launch. It isn't final legal terms.
IP & confidentiality
Last updated October 23, 2026
Your idea stays yours
You keep ownership of the ideas, descriptions, sketches and files you submit. Submitting an idea doesn't give Shovels AI any ownership of it.
Private by default
- Only you and the Shovels staff working on your project can see it.
- Your files are never shown to other customers or used as examples without your explicit permission, which you can give or withdraw from your project.
- We don't use your project materials to train AI models.
Deliverables
Deliverables you pay for (such as concept images, briefs and, for prototype work, the design files a quote lists) are intended to belong to you once paid, subject to the final terms. Some work relies on third-party components, libraries or licensed assets that remain owned by their licensors, and on our own background tools and know-how, which we keep; your quote will say when that applies.
Partners and suppliers
When a partner needs information to quote or build, we share only what's necessary and prefer to do so under a confidentiality agreement. We remove your personal contact details unless you agree otherwise.
Patents and protection
We aren't a law firm and don't give legal advice about patents or trademarks. If protecting your invention matters, talk to a patent attorney, ideally before sharing it publicly.
